(Austin, TX February 8, 2022) — EBW Worldwide (Empowering a Billion Women) shares its plans to build a new, state-of-the-art nitrile butadiene rubber (NBR) “Rosie” facility in South Texas. The NBR Rosie Plant by EBW is part of EBW’s overall strategy to transform healthcare through the manufacturing of quality PPE products and create over 800 jobs and economic opportunity in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Math) for women and diverse leaders across America. EBW was just ranked #28 fastest growing private company in America and has emerged as one of the leading women STEAM development companies in the United States.

We are proud to work alongside our large-scale partners in this endeavor and to help drive excellence in environmental, health and safety, and the American economy. EBW is proud to bring our expertise, values and our impact to advance industry in a way that is profitable, safe, secure AND that creates immediate and lasting impact in the communities and country we serve,” says Ingrid Vanderveldt, EBW Worldwide CEO.

NBR is the key ingredient in the manufacturing of medical gloves. Women make up 76% of the healthcare workforce and make 80% of the healthcare decisions for the family. The Rosie NBR Plant by EBW is the first of a series of planned plants being developed to help transform the delivery of domestically created and distributed critical PPE products to help keep our healthcare providers, first responders and industry workforce safe.

The “Rosie” name is in a nod to the women of World War II, Rosie the Riveters, who worked inside the plants to “bring our boys home.” However, instead of working IN the plants, this time, the women own and operate the plants. The plan for EBW’s two Texas-based plants will create over 800 jobs in and around the state and support it employees through its in-person and virtual training and jobs program.

We are honored to be helping women be successful in business and to offer the opportunity to innovate and advance in STEAM. We are bringing best practices, and more environmentally sound methods to build and develop industry and manufacturing,” says Roberta Lang, EBW COO. Lang is the former General Counsel and Global Vice President of Whole Foods Market.

Being in the top .003% of all women led companies in the US, EBW recognizes our position to continue to create openings and new domestic pathways for our country’s top innovators. We are proud to be the “go to” project solutions development company for public and private enterprises seeking to deliver with excellence, maximize their capital investments while meeting ESG goals (environmental, social and governance). It is our world-class partners and the innovative, dedicated women of EBW who make this possibility a reality,” says Vanderveldt.
